Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life so it is essential that you’re able to choose a wedding dress that makes you feel confident and look radiant.
At our Bridal shop we are passionate about helping our customers create a wonderful memory of their wedding dress that they can cherish forever.
We understand that selecting the right dress can be hugely exciting for some people yet daunting, or even worrying, for others. That’s why we tailor our service to meet the individual requirements of every one of our customers.
The first step to creating that cherished memory? Make an appointment with us!
- Appointments usually last up to 1 hour and take place in one of our comfortable, spacious dressing rooms
- A trained Bridal Advisor will be dedicated to you during your appointment. She will first show you a selection of gowns which you can browse through at your leisure or with her guidance if you prefer.
- We suggest you choose six gowns to try on initially. Your Bridal Advisor will be on hand to help you at each stage of trying on the dresses. If you have time, you are welcome to try on more dresses with the help of our Advisor.
- At the end of your appointment, we will make a note of the reference details of all the gowns you like. Although we are unable to reserve dresses or take deposits, we can you let know if any dresses can be ordered so you have all the information you need before you leave.
- At the Bridal Lounge of York our top priority is to ensure you find the perfect dress for you and your budget. If you are on a budget, please tell us. You do not need to feel embarrassed, and we can help make suggestions to fit your budget.
- Our Bridal Advisors are not paid on a commission or incentive basis, so you can rest assured that the advice we give is with your requirements at the heart of what we recommend.
- We will advise you on an estimated cost for alterations. These are not included in the price of the dress, but we can give you an estimate. If a dress needs altering, we can give you the details of our suggested seamstresses that work with us. We will never sell a dress that can not be altered. If there is any doubt, we will check with the seamstress before we sell a dress so that you are confident in your purchase. The alterations are not undertaken on our premises as this makes it cheaper for you and also gives you the flexibility to have your alterations undertaken at any seamstress of your choice. Please rest assured that we work regularly with our seamstress, and we would not compromise our reputation by working with a business that did not offer the same level of high and affordable service.
We do not take a ‘hard sell’ approach. Indeed, we encourage our customers to visit other bridal shops to help them develop clear ideas of what they like and what suits them. In this way, customers can reach a decision much more easily when they do find their perfect dress. None of our bridal advisors are on any form of commission or incentivised to sell any products. It is our policy to help and advise. If the dress is “the one” you wouldnt need any form of pressure anyway!
